I started out in the Hair and Wig industry by selling Hair Bundles in 2013 to my friends and colleagues for 2 years and then transitioned into wig making in 2018. I was going to Canada for my Masters Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in 2015 and needed a skill I could develop into a profitable business and so I started learning how to make wigs.
After making wigs for myself and friends for about 3 years, I saw that my wigs stood out among others because they all came back asking for more.
In 2019, I took a trip back home to Nigeria for my brother's wedding. While I was spending time with my family and friends, I visited my aunt's salon where she showed me 2 hair bundles, I thought were unique and beautiful. The problem was she didn't have a matching closure, notwithstanding, I bought them and travelled back to Canada.
My career was not going as smoothly as I had envisioned with job insecurity and learning the workplace culture so I went through periods of joblessness. During one of these idle times, I picked up those 2 bundles of hair and tried to figure out what to do with them. Sewing them unto my hair was a no-no so I had to turn it into a wig.
I went on google and searched, "How to make a closure", and that was how I got introduced to the entire world of wig making. I developed and perfected my wig making skills as I tried to navigate my career as a Logistics and Supply Chain professional.
I created this blog to help you navigate the wig industry without making as many financial mistakes as possible. My aim is to provide the best advice possible for buying wigs online. I hope this blog gives you some relief.
